Why aluminum gutters?

Aluminum has become the industry standard for seamless gutter systems. This is because they are rust resistant and are easily formed on-site with roll forming machines and can be custom made to length for each project.

Aluminum is a softer metal but when coated with a baked on enamel paint, it will last for 20-30 years without excessive maintenance. It’s important to keep the gutters clean. The inside of the gutters are cleaned so debris will not impede water flow. The outside of the gutters should be cleaned regularly when the home is pressure washed otherwise they will discolor and stain.

There are other metals that we make gutter systems out of such as zinc, copper and galvanized steel but Aluminum is the standard because it’s readily available and it’s reasonably priced and it has a significant life span.

As always, all gutter systems and gutter guard systems need to be properly maintained to ensure proper function and to extend the life of the system.
