ARE YOUR GUTTERS OVERFLOWING?

What should I do if my gutters are overflowing?

The Short Answer: Call Legacy Gutter - we are always happy to help!

The Longer Answer:

  1. Clogged gutters or downspouts - If your gutters or downspouts or even your ground pipe system is clogged then that will create an overflow situation. Best to get the system cleaned and serviced.

  2. Your system is undersized. If your gutter system is undersized then the gutters will overflow frequently. The fix is to increase the size of the system appropriately.

  3. Roof valleys may need splash guards. Roof valleys create a highly concentrated stream of water in one location and that can overwhelm even the largest of gutter systems and the water can overshoot the gutters. The fix is to add splash guards where needed at valley locations.

  4. Gutters are damaged and allowing water to fall out from the front lip and overflow. The fix is to get them repaired or replaced.

These are the primary reasons for gutter overflow but this is not an exhaustive list.

If you’re having any gutter overflow issues then feel free to let us know how we can help.

As always, we are happy to be of service.
